Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) enforces the controlled substances laws and regulations, and brings to the criminal and civil justice system of the United States or any other competent jurisdiction, those organizations, and principal members of organizations involved in the cultivation, manufacture, or distribution of controlled substances appearing in or destined for the illicit traffic in the United States. DEA's mission requires it to provide a leadership role in narcotic and dangerous drug suppression programs at the national and international level.
